Alan David Weeks, age 56, of Knapp, died Feb. 24 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the Baldwin Care Center.

Alan David Weeks, age 56, of Knapp, died Feb. 24 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the Baldwin Care Center.

Alan was born on Sept. 19, 1956, in Eau Claire, Wis., the son of David and Elaine (Travis) Weeks. He graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School prior to enlisting in the Armed Forces where he served in the United States Army. He worked several years for Mulcahy Construction in Oakdale, Minn., as a carpenter.

Alan enjoyed the outdoors, as he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He has fond memories of his camping trips to Canada as well as raising his chickens, horses, and rabbits. He also enjoyed playing billiards and bowling with the guys.

Alan is survived by Cheryl; his children Amanda (Dan) Yaeger, Jessica Weeks Radle, Aj (Angela) Weeks, Michelle (James) Whitwam, and Ashley (Richard) Weeks; grandchildren, Marshall, Kimberly, Lucas, Hunter, Justin, Annabella, and Baby Bubbles; siblings, Cindy Warner, Marsha (Glen) Ries, Wanda Smith, Trudy (Dean) Rucks, Mary (Todd) Zimmerman, Mike Weeks, Pete (Gretchen) Weeks, Sheryl Weeks and Brenda (Garrett) Doug.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; daughter Kathleen Elaine Rose Weeks; brother-in-law Kit Warner; niece and nephew, Duane and Wendy.

A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held 3-6 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. His grandchildren will serve as honorary casket bearers. A special thanks to the Baldwin Care Center staff and Adoray Hospice for their loving care. Memorials are preferred.
