John A. Lewis, age 55, of River Falls, born in Minneapolis, Minn., July 4, 1957, passed away unexpectedly at home on Feb. 3, 2013.
John A. Lewis, age 55, of River Falls, born in Minneapolis, Minn., July 4, 1957, passed away unexpectedly at home on Feb. 3, 2013.
John is survived by his wife, Angela; daughters, Melanie and Mallory; his parents Ruth and Chuck Lewis, and John Walters (Diane White); sisters, Charlene (John), Sherry (Mark); brother, Jeff (Kim); grandma Marcella Lewis; mother- and father-in-law Dick and Susan Shutt; brother-in-law, Chris (Annie) Shutt; nephews, Derek and Cameron Wisti, Brady Lewis, Clayton and Daniel Shutt; niece, Cady Lewis; along with other relatives and friends.
John was confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hudson. He graduated from Hudson Sr. High in 1975. He attended WITC in Rice Lake, graduating in 1978. John worked at Andersen Corp. for close to 30 years.
He enjoyed watching the Packers, going fishing, carving pumpkins, and decorating the Christmas tree with his family. He enjoyed going shopping and out to eat with his wife, Angela. John loved nothing better than going on family trips and outings, with the MN State Fair being a favorite. He thought the world of his M & M girls. John was a loving husband and devoted father. You will be greatly missed!
Funeral services for John Lewis will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 920 Third St., Hudson. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services at church and also from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
