Joyce Margaret McAleavey, age 89, of River Falls, died Monday, Nov. 12, at the Lutheran Home.

Joyce Margaret McAleavey, age 89, of River Falls, died Monday, Nov. 12, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born on Aug. 29, 1923, the daughter of George and Margaret Warren. Joyce married Leo McAleavey on Aug. 12, 1953, at St. Bridget Church.

Joyce worked at the First National Bank in River falls for several years. She was a homemaker and her greatest joy was having her family around. Joyce enjoyed baking and tending to her flowers. Joyce was a member of the St. Bridget Church.

She is survived by daughters, Patty Nelson and Peggy (Steve) Rohl; sons, Dennis (Connie) McAleavey and Kevin (Becky) McAleavey; 11 grandchildren, Eric, Adam and Shane McAleavey, Caitlin and Miranda McAleavey, Lance and Jared Nelson, Sara (Rohl) (Preston) Tokheim, Phillip, Travis (Drew), and Dan Rohl; and one great-grandchild, Mckenna Rohl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Warren, and husband, Leo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joyce at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the St. Bridget Cemetery.
