Elizabeth Susan Bowers, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Elizabeth Susan Bowers, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Beth was born July 7, 1983, in Tacoma, Wash., and moved to River Falls, Wis., when she was 4 months old. She lived in River Falls until 1990 when she moved with her mother and stepfather, Val Lessard, to Kewaunee, Wis. She resided in Kewaunee until 1997, when she moved back to River Falls briefly, and then to Eau Claire, Wis. Beth graduated from McKinley Charter School, Eau Claire, in May of 2000. She again moved to Kewaunee in 2002. Beth was blessed with a son, Sean Ryan, in July of 2003, and a daughter, Octavia Rose, in September 2009.

Beth was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas R. and Susan M. Bowers.

She is survived by her children, Sean and Octavia; her mother, Robin Bowers, and stepfather, Val Lessard, Kewaunee; aunts, Terry Bowers, Hudson, and Debra Bowers, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; uncle, Jay Bowers (Laurie) of Winter Garden, Fla.; cousins: Jim Moe, Colfax, Wis.; Laci Moe, Detroit Lakes; and Kate Bowers, Winter Garden; former foster mother, Karolynn Bell, and former foster sister, Rose Shilts, both of Eau Claire.

A memorial service for Beth will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Buchanan Funeral Home, 1425 Ellis St., Kewaunee.

Memorials to G.R.E.A.T. c/o City of Kewaunee, 401 Fifth St., Kewaunee, WI 54216, www.great-online.org, are preferred in lieu of flowers.
