William Stokes, 72

Bill (William) Stokes, age 72, passed away on Aug. 25.

Bill was devoted to his wife, Mary, in every way possible for 53 years of marriage and truly practiced “until death do us part.” Bill’s family was everything to him, and he still found time to help all those around him. His philosophy was contagious. Always remain positive; there are no hurdles, just new chances to find the positive; and never, ever give up. Bill took optimism to a whole new level and lifted his family with him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons and daughter, Bill (Betsy), Bob (Pat), and Deb (Scott); grandchildren, William (BJ), Shaun, Alex, Trevor, Maddie, and Sydney.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Bethel Highland Lutheran Church. Visitation 2 hours before the service at Bethel Highland Lutheran Church, 504 Frontage Rd., Hudson, Wis. Burial will be at Mann Valley Cemetery.
