Dean LaVern Faulks of River Falls and Winter Haven, Fla., died Aug. 6 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

Dean LaVern Faulks of River Falls and Winter Haven, Fla., died Aug. 6 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

He was born on Feb. 23, 1926, to Donald and Evelyn (Paulson) Faulks in Waupaca, Wis.

Dean was a dedicated husband and father. He was a successful business owner and entrepreneur and had a passion for developing properties and building businesses. Dean honorably served our country in the Marine Corps during WWII.

Dean is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie (Boettcher) Faulks; children Janice (Steve) Healy of River Falls, Donald (Cindi) Faulks of Eden Prairie, Minn.; grandchildren, Lindsey Faulks, Michael Faulks; step-grandchildren, Brian (Stacy Jo) Healy, Stephanie (Ron) Hagen, Megan Healy, Katherine (Matthew) Fautsch, Kevin Lehman; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son Gerald Allan; and sister, Ardyce Mallas.

A memorial service will be held for Dean at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca with military honors.
