Marian Dunn, 89

Marian L. (nee Wells) Dunn, age 89, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, at the River Falls Area Hospital, River Falls.

Marian L. (nee Wells) Dunn, age 89, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, at the River Falls Area Hospital, River Falls.

Marian was born on Sept. 18, 1922, to Archie and Nellie (Owen) Wells. She was the sixth of 11 children. Marian graduated with Ellsworth High School class of 1940. She moved to St. Paul where she was employed by the Brown and Bigelow Co. and Northwest Banco as an executive assistant.

Marian married "The Love of her life," Wilbur Dunn of Ellsworth, in 1946. They made their home in the Twin Cities, where she had a circle of great friends. Marian was a talented artist and had a great passion for creating floral arrangements and was well known for her knitting and crocheting abilities. She was an avid fan of her international travel destinations. Marian always enjoyed learning something new to awaken yet another sense, and her zest for life was always ongoing.

Preceded in death by husband, Wilbur; parents; and eight siblings.

Marian is survived by her sister Janet Cudd, River Falls; brother Darrell Wells and his wife, Toby, Boynton Beach, Fla.; sister in-law Jeanette (Alfred) Falteisek, Ellsworth, Wis. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Marian were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, 225 S. 3rd St., River Falls. Visitation was for 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. Burial was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn., at 9 a.m. Monday.
