Martha (Marty) Elsie Pechacek, 75, of River Falls, died Wednesday, May 23, at Kinnic Long Term Care Center in River Falls.

Martha (Marty) Elsie Pechacek, 75, of River Falls, died Wednesday, May 23, at Kinnic Long Term Care Center in River Falls.

The wife and best friend of Duane (Curly) Pechacek was born on June 29, 1936, in Murfreesboro, Ark. and was later married to Duane on May 11, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Marty will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother; always concerned more about others than herself. Her interests included her family, golf, sewing, travel, playing cards and following the Minnesota Twins on television.

Martha is survived by her husband, Duane J. Pechacek, her children, Julie Olson (Gary) of Mendota, Ill., Jackie Lemke (Rick) of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Greg Pechacek (Sandee) of Madison, Wis.; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother, James Petty of Goshen, Ind.

Martha was preceded in death by her son, Jon W. Pechacek; her parents; and two sisters.

Martha's honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Amyee Pechacek, Kate Pechacek, Tanya Rasmussen, Tara Rasmussen, Lonnie Pechacek, and Jessica Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at St. Bridget Church in River Falls, with Father Jerry Harris officiating. A visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m.
