Sara Jean Goldbach, age 14, of River Falls, died Friday, May 18, as the result of an auto accident.

Sara was born on June 29, 1997, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Scott and Kim (Oien) Goldbach.
Sara was currently a freshman at River Falls High School where she participated on the softball team as the shortstop. She was also a member of the golf team and choir. Sara was very loving, caring, and compassionate. She was a friend to everyone and had a spirited sense of humor. Sara was the epitome of what a person should be.
She will be sadly missed by her mother, Kim (Robert Nysven) Goldbach, River Falls; father, Scott Goldbach, Portage, Mich.; brothers: Jason (Alyson) Goldbach and their children, Tyler and Anna, Stratford, Wis.; Brian Goldbach, Kalamazoo, Wis.; paternal grandmother, Deanne Goldbach, Marshfield, Wis. Sara is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Paul Goldbach, Melvin and Marilyn Oien.
Funeral services for Sara will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 25, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, River Falls. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the church from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and for 1 hour prior to the funeral on Friday.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
