Patricia Ann Lubich, 58, of River Falls, Wis., passed away on May 3 following a diagnosis of ovarian and uterine cancer on her birthday in 2008.
Patricia Ann Lubich, 58, of River Falls, Wis., passed away on May 3 following a diagnosis of ovarian and uterine cancer on her birthday in 2008.
Patricia (Pat) was born the seventh child of Hartland and Rhoda (Daniel) Lubich on August 6, 1953. She spent her entire life on the farm of her parents south of River Falls.
Following graduation from the River Falls High School in 1971, she was employed at St. Bridget School and Church, also in River Falls. Due to the progression of her cancer, she took an early retirement in March 2011, after serving her church community for 39 years.
Pat found great enjoyment in knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was involved in the Town & Country 4-H Club and then went on to continue exhibiting at the Pierce County Fair in the open class division each year. She was also a member of the Glass Valley Homemaker’s club.
Pat was most proud of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She always enjoyed their visits.
Survivors include her mother, Rhoda Lubich, River Falls; sisters: Marcella (Jerome) Rodewald, River Falls; Ida (Steve) Feyereisen, Hudson; Barbara (Malcolm) Nielsen, Hammond; Julia Cernohous, Hudson; brothers: Kenneth (Joanne) Lubich, Verona, Wis.; Daniel (Jean) Lubich, Marshall, Mo.; Mark (Sherry) Lubich, Bay City, Wis.; and Gerald (Cinda) Lubich, Litchfield, Ill. She is further survived by 29 nieces and nephews, 56 great-nieces and -nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hartland; brother-in-law Virgil Cernohous; niece Lisa Neuman; great-nephews Nicholas Feyereisen and Thomas Rodewald; and many aunts and uncles.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bridget Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7. Visitation will be at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, May 6, and 1 hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the church.
Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, River Falls, is assisting the family with arrangements.
