Mary Cernohous Huckins, 64

Mary H. (Cernohous) Huckins, age 64, of Cottage Grove, Ore., passed away Nov. 11, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 19, 1947, in River Falls, Wis., to Alfred and Helen (Richardson) Cernohous. Mary wed Donald Huckins on March 19, 1966, in Hudson, Wis. They moved to Eugene, Ore., in 1968. She was a homemaker and a cook.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Donald; niece Jennifer Hultman; and brother-in-law Robert Goulette.

She is survived by husband, Donald; sons, Frank and Charles of Cottage Grove, Ore.; daughters, Christina (Ron) Downard, of Crescent City, Calif., and Helen Gallegos, of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Joyce Goulette of Bay City, Wis., Noreen (John) Aadson of Rapid City, S.D., Marlys Cernohous of River Falls, and Donna (Ken) Hultman of Omaha, Neb.; sister in-law Sharlene Cernohous; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Bridget Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. April 21 with burial at St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery, River Falls.

Cashman Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
