Eugenia J. "Jean" Ovsak, age 82, of River Falls, died Thursday, March 8, at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott.

Eugenia J. "Jean" Ovsak, age 82, of River Falls, died Thursday, March 8, at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott.

She was born March 12, 1929, in Eau Galle, Wis., the daughter of John and Myrtle (Webb) Lieffring. She was employed by Schultz Brothers Variety Store and Smeads Manufacturing Company. After retiring, she enjoyed making ceramics and working in her many flower beds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Lieffring; one grandson, James Michael; six sisters, Rosalie, Lucille, Dolores, Elizabeth, Veronica, and Mary; and two brothers, John and Frederick.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Krarup of La Crosse; three sons, Bob (Vickie) of Beldenville, Jim of Minocqua, and Terry of River Falls; two sisters, Helen and Annabel; one brother, Francis; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Jean will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls, with Reverend Gerald Harris officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Hudson, Wis.
