Thomas P. Huppert, age 64, of River Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at his home.
He was born the son of Paul and Lorraine (Cobian) Huppert on May 30, 1947, in Prescott. On Dec. 7, 1968, Tom married Yvonne Goulette at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. For 28 years, he worked for Andersen Windows. However, Tom was a born farmer so in retirement, during the summer, Tom worked for farmers and loved every minute. Also, in the winter he worked at Afton Alps as a ski lift operator, where he enjoyed helping all the children.
Tom and Yvonne enjoyed traveling together, especially to Black Hills in South Dakota. He was known as a loving and supportive father.
Tom will be missed by his wife, Yvonne; children Rhonda (Tim Brown) Huppert, Randy (Angela) Huppert; grandchildren, Brad Wright, Brad Walker, Brandon Walker, Rocco Huppert, Lynn Neuaur, Kirstin Joseph; great-grandchildren, Skye, Andrew, Lauraina, Aubrie; siblings Carol (Wayne) Langer, Paul (Barb) Huppert, Debbie Karish; mother-in-law, Avon Kohl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry (Sandy) Goulette, Renee Watters, Tom (Darla) Goulette; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lorraine Huppert; son Troy Huppert; siblings Richard (Jeanie) Huppert, Diane (Vic) Kuss; and father-in-law, Marvin "Buster" Kohl.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls. Memorial visitation will also be Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
