Oak Hill Stables of River Falls offers horse-drawn carriage rides 4-9 Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16 – as it did on Valentine’s Day – departing from the West Wind Supper Club and going south on Main Street for a 15-minute ride that costs $40.
“Betty” the jet-black Percheron, a type of draft horse, stole the show in shiny tack and red “dressing” in her feet and mane. Handler and stable co-owner/operator Shannon Hansell said the carriage has room for six riders and includes lap blankets to help keep people warm.
