Jeanne Zirbel's third grade class 2002


Jan. 10, 2002: After teacher Jeanne Zirbel’s third graders at Westside Elementary found out Wisconsin was the only state not recognizing Veteran’s Day, they asked Sen. Sheila Harsdorf to present a bill to the Wisconsin State Legislature making it a state holiday. Sen. Harsdorf expected the bill would pass, and has been keeping the class updated on the bill’s progress.
