Mel Germanson and Jerry Carter show their commitment to keeping the River Falls Food Pantry stocked. Food Pantry volunteer Stephen Smith said the following are among the most needed items: Canned fruit and canned tuna, ham, chicken, Spam and other meats; boxed foods; Chunky soups; cereal; bags of potatoes; detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and throwaway diapers. Venison is OK as long as it’s commercially processed and stamped. Smith adds that the Food Pantry, located upstairs at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, is also low on volunteers willing to work over an extended period. If interested, call 425-8294, ext. 119.
