Wildcats fall in state soccer quarterfinals
The Wildcat girls’ soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Kimberly in double overtime Thursday afternoon in a WIAA State Tournament quarterfinal game at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee. Sandra Meyer scored the River Falls’ goal at 66:27 to tie the score, 1-1, and after one scoreless ten-minute overtime session, Kimberly’s Marlee Buss scored with 1:35 remaining in the second overtime to give the Papermakers the victory.By: Bob Burrows, River Falls Journal
