Valuable experience, helpful workers
The local Chippewa Valley Technical College tries to match business students with suitable employers. Says Business Management instructor Julie Cross: “Internships afford students the chance to develop their professional skills, build on expertise achieved in their coursework and network with the business community. Internships afford employers the opportunity to gain short-term help, invest in our community’s future workforce and pre-screen potential employees.” Above, Cross with CVTC students who will graduate with business management associate degrees: Levi Denn, interned at Afton Alps in Minnesota; Dawn Christensen, interned at Sajan in Whitetail Ridge Corporate Park in River Falls; and Andrea Phillips, interned at The Dish and the Spoon Café in downtown River Falls. For more information on the intern program, call CVTC at 425-3301.
