Noted farmer, writer, town supervisor dies
John Swenson, 83, who farmed for many years on Halo Drive in the town of Kinnickinnic, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, at United Hospital in St. Paul. In retirement, Swenson won election and served as a Kinnickinnic Town Board supervisor. He was also a self-published author of books like "My Navy Experience 1943-1946 and Prisonor of War," "Just Look Out the Back Door," and a science fiction tale called, "The Crew: As Revealed to John Swenson."By: Phil Pfuehler, River Falls Journal
