Mother charged with abusing her child

A 42-year-old River Falls woman was arrested Friday afternoon for beating up her teenage daughter at home. The woman said the girl had stolen $5, was behaving badly and had punched a hole in a door. Police say the woman’s attempt to subdue the daughter was excessive and that she made statements saying she could have killed the girl but spared her life.
