Lowered flags honor WWII pilot
Governor Scott Walker has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff at Wisconsin public facilities from sunrise to sunset Sunday, Oct. 14, as a mark of respect for Second Lieutenant James A. Des Jardins, Appleton, of the United States Army, who died at the age of 21 during 1944 serving in WWII as a pilot.
