UWRF basketball sweeps Pointers
Hours after the 14th-ranked UW-River Falls women’s basketball team defeated 8th-ranked UW-Stevens Point, 67-63, Wednesday night at Karges Center, the unranked Falcon men followed suit by knocking off the 13th-ranked Pointer men, 73-70 to move into sole possession of first place in the WIAC. It’s the first time in 21 years the Falcon men and women have beaten Stevens Point in the same season, never mind the same night.By: Bob Burrows, River Falls Journal
