Steph hon? I did mean to say "ad nauseated". Please use "I" instead of "i" when referring to yourself (first person singular) in the future or people will not think you are credible. Peace...

I hope at some point we can stop playing ad hominem ping pong and start talking about campaign finance reform. If legislatures were really elected for and by the people and not by the monied interests of banks, insurance companies, corporate and union PACs we would have real solutions to the problems facing our country. Until then brace yourself for the next lash.

Tom J. your thoughts not mine...very folksy. Should I start writing what I assume you think? It is a poor response because you have no defense for cap and trade, other than to say screw you all it is on. Why should we should we feel good about capping our energy production during a depression? Why is legislation like this needed when our industries are failing at a record rate and energy consumption is down? Many plants have already quit running 3rd shifts and are down to 32 hour work week. Your planets CO2 production is way down in America, but increasing in China where there is no regulations at all. So our economy tanks due to foolish politicans who think they can control the weather by lowering CO2 emmisions. Any person with a small speck of common sense would understand the real agenda is to take freedom away from America.

Alice - only because i see you constantly point out other's misspelled or misused words..... I'm sure you meant: ridiculous (not rediculous) divisive (not devisive) ad nauseum (not ad nauseated)

Not surprising that you wouldn't see the obvious differences in Bush's actual quote and the one you made up and attributed to him.

"Either you're with me or you're against me" "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." You're right again, nothing similar there. I was paraphrasing chump, so you suck it up. If I don't respond again, please don't take it as running away - I just don't believe in repeating the same argument over and over in the same post ad nauseated...

No Alice, I don't think they "worked together." They don't now either, and they hardly ever do because of a deep difference of opinion and philosophy. Why don't you suck it up for once and admit you had no clue what you were talking about when you typed that post with the Bush quote and your BDS again got the best of you? I know you usually run away for your foolish posts, but try owning this one in a non-sarcastic manner.

Have any of you read any bill that congress or our state legislators have voted on? These people have staff that help them outline the nuts and bolts of proposed legislation. Besides there are a gaggle of lobbyists to try and influence them to vote a certain way anyway. For that matter have any of us truly read the terms of any contract or insurance policy that we enter into in its entirety? We all need to stop listening to the punditry and do the research from all sides and ideologies on our own to get some semblance of truth. Democracy is hard work and sometimes it needs to be tweaked on occasion to best serve the most people it can. Nobody said we all have to be in lockstep agreement on everything government does for its citizens. If we all were, that truly would be a dangerous situation for our republic.

Obama quotes...".I think when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody." , " Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. " , " I can make a firm pledge, under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes." , " If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost." , " It's time to fundamentally change the way that we do business in Washington. To help build a new foundation for the 21st century, we need to reform our government so that it is more efficient, more transparent, and more creative. That will demand new thinking and a new sense of responsibility for every dollar that is spent. " BOY ARE THINGS CHANGING AND ARE THEY SPENDING MONEY, BUT HE PROMISED NO NEW TAXES, WE WILL JUST PAY INCREASED ENERGY CHARGES, INCREASED "FEES", STATE TAXES, PROPERTY TAXES, SERVICE CHARGES, ETC. ....DO YOU TRUST THE GOVERNMENT AND FEEL THEY HAVE THE COMMON WELFARE FOR ALL IN THEIR THOUGHTS?

Kind or any other congressman could not of read the cap and trade bill, it was added to at 3 AM the morning of the vote. The total page count was 1200 pages! What happened to the 5 day waiting period for the citizens of the United Stated to review the bill? What happened to transparency? Is this another EMERGENCY? http://www.examiner.com/x-13415-Raleigh-Libertarian-Examiner~y2009m6d30-Another-bill-passed-without-it-being-read Voting blindly does remind me of "stupid".....Ron Kind may look like the all American Boy, but his actions tell us this is not true. What is the true agenda? Why do they wish to bankrupt America? Are you going to allow it to happen or call this clown and tell him what you think? The circus has to leave town... Learn from Germany as they continue to pay 25 percent more for their energy thanks to cap and trade. The German did seem to think their representatives could control the weather and save them from having a warmer planet. Now the Germans are paying for this decision. You would think of all people the Germans would be really careful of political propaganda, no they may be doomed to repeat history. Call your senators today and tell them to quit trying to play God. Stop the Cap and Trade Bill. http://www.rules.house.gov/111/LegText/111_hr2454_sub.pdf Look at a copy of the Bill, it was so fresh there is not a bill number on it, the first page reads H.R.______ . If this Cap and Trade Bill passes you will be paying more for your electricity, gas, and oil. This will also make the cost of every product we buy to increase. Thank you Mr. Kind for showing us all what a clown you are, we all now know under that pretty makeup is a stupid puppet.
