On the Job: Chuck Brictson
Chuck Brictson of River Falls was awarded a pin of achievement in the Sons of Norway Cultural Skills Awards Program. The pin was awarded to Brictson for completing Level 1 of Traditional Norwegian Cooking.
Chuck Brictson of River Falls was awarded a pin of achievement in the Sons of Norway Cultural Skills Awards Program. The pin was awarded to Brictson for completing Level 1 of Traditional Norwegian Cooking.
The Cultural Skills Program provides a framework for learning about traditional and contemporary Norwegian culture. Each unit consists of three levels of skill-specific activities. Participants receive a Cultural Skills pin, a skill bar, and level 1 bar. As they continue, participants earn additional skill and level bars.
As part of the provisions Brictson was asked to complete, he spent time with River Falls High School students teaching them how to make lefse.
The Sons of Norway is a fraternal benefit society and also works to preserve Norwegian culture and heritage.
