Hudson scored on its first two possessions of the game and went on to spoil River Falls’ homecoming by shutting out the Wildcats 28-0 Friday night at Ramer Field.
The Raiders compiled 416 yards of total offense compared to 167 for the Wildcats to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Hudson improved to 3-2 in the Big Rivers Conference, 4-3 overall while River Falls dropped to 0-5 in conference play, 2-5 overall.
After a River Falls punt on the opening possession, Hudson scored on its first possession of the game when quarterback Luke Miller hit Tucker Malecha with a 16-yard touchdown pass.
The Wildcats moved the ball to the Raider 22-yard line on the ensuing possession before Ryan Kusilek’s 39-yard field goal attempt into the wind came up short.
Hudson marched 80 yards to take a 14-0 lead on a 19-yard touchdown run by Joseph Kelly.
A 1-yard touchdown run by Dan Loughney with 40 seconds remaining in the first half extended Hudson’s lead to 21-0.
The only scoring of the second half came on a 6-yard touchdown run by Loughney on the Raiders’ opening drive of the third quarter.
Loughney rushed for 151 yards as the Raiders finished with 319 yards on the ground.
