Four area Fantastic Sams stylists have received regional recognition in a state competition.
Becky Bonde of River Falls, Tina Rasmussen of Ellsworth, Amanda Voeltz of New Richmond and Justine Mercord of Hudson placed in the recent Fantastic Sams Regional Styling Competition.
Bonde, who has been a stylist at Sams in River Falls since May 2009, placed second in the Artistic Cut and Style Category.
Tina Rasmussen, who has been a stylist at Sams in River Falls since March 2008, placed first in the Artistic Cut and Style Category.
Amanda Voeltz, who has managed the River Falls salon since January 2007, placed first in the Artistic Glamour Category and second with her Child Cut & Style entry.
Mercord, who has been a stylist and makeup artist at Sams in Hudson since June 2006, took first place in the Commercial Glamour Category.
The Regional Styling Competition is open to all stylists in the 40 Fantastic Sams salons in Wisconsin and held annually. The stylists can also compete in the National Styling Competition open to all Fantastic Sams salon stylists nationwide.
The River Falls, Hudson, New Richmond and Amery Fantastic Sams are owned by Dave and Darcie Rochon of Somerset.
