Shelly Moore is our chance to right wrongs by Harsdorf who betrayed us by voting in Walker’s directives including cuts to the prescription drug program and Medicaid for vulnerable seniors, to our educational system budget, cuts to recycling, selling off our power plants with no legislative input and no bidding.
Every week I read about qualified educators leaving our schools. Several UW-River Falls grads told me they have teaching jobs lined up in other states, not here.
What will happen to our educational system and the future of our children? The governor is dismantling our government by centralizing power under himself — abolishing the Secretary of State’s office and appointing a secretary of Veterans Affairs. The current secretary resigned because the budget bill undermined veterans’ trust funds.
The GOP wants to outsource the DNR. That will compromise protection of our air and water.
A turn of bad times should not lead to turning against our historical values. We don’t turn our backs on the elderly, disabled, impoverished children and returning soldiers.
Shelly Moore cares about people in this district. She exhibits leadership and intelligence. She’s exceptionally well-informed and has the grit to get the job done with integrity.
We are only one person with one vote, but collectively we exceed in great number the powerful entities in control of our state.
I’m not swayed by the big Harsdorf signs planted on vacant lots and paid for by the powers-that-be because Moore signs are growing in front yards each day.
I’m not swayed by untrue fear monger flyers mailed from Harsdorf’s office and funded by us, the taxpayers, from her Senate office expense budget.
We have a much better state Senate choice. Do return Wisconsin to the people on July 12. Vote for Shelly Moore.
