We just want to thank Mrs. Follstad’s 3rd grade class and all of the staff and students at Rocky Branch Elementary for being so kind to our son, Carter.

It has been an amazing journey with Carter since he was diagnosed six years ago with autism. The staff and all of Carter’s classmates have been so supportive.

Recently I watched Carter and his classmates participate in Rocky Branch’s Track and Field Day. We thought it was high time we thank you all for all that you have done through the years.

All of Carter’s classmates and their parents erupted in cheers and encouragement every time it was Carter’s turn to compete, and when he did his best, they were right there to give him high fives!

It is hard to describe the feeling you get seeing your son proud and excited to be participating equally in such an event with his peers. The smile on his face when he would hear the cheers of encouragement was priceless.

These little moments may seem like nothing to Carter’s classmates, their parents and his teachers, but to us they are what keep us going each and every day.

Over the years we have so blessed to have great teachers, great aides and great classmates… thank you all so much for your continuing love and support.

Thank you for teaching your children compassion for Carter and for making his day at school such a great experience for him. I can’t say it enough, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
