James Magnuson

James Lee Magnuson of Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii, formerly of St. Paul, Minn., and Great Falls, Mont., died in a light sport aircraft accident in the Pacific Ocean Feb. 15, 2011.

He was a building contractor, owner of Big Sky Kauai, and former Marine.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie; parents, Ray and Virginia Magnuson of River Falls; sons, Justin of Missoula, Mont., Joseph and Nick of Great Falls; sister Hilarie Duval of Prescott, Wis.; brothers Larry (Linda) Magnuson of Hudson, Steve (Jacque) Magnuson of Muskego, Wis., and Rob (Heidi) Magnuson of Hastings, Minn.; uncle Robert Bargy of St. Paul; along with many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Private memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at St. Bridget Church in River Falls.
