At 1 p.m. there will be a program on long distance bird migration, birding, and “Cats Indoors” at the River Falls Public Library. Following this program will be a time to practice using binoculars and a spotting scope.
Members of the public, including children, are invited to attend this instructional program. After practicing with the binoculars and scope, we will take a birding walk along the White Path in River Falls to see how many species of birds we can observe and identify.
The SCVBC owns 15 pairs of binoculars, a spotting scope, and field guides that can be used by participants.
Please join us for a day of celebrating the remarkable journey of our summer birds back from their winter homes in Mexico, Central and South America to River Falls, a Wisconsin Bird City.
