Rising star

Raina Albores, a 4th grade student at Westside Elementary School, recently earned the score necessary to compete in the Minnesota State United States Gymnastics Association Level 5 Compulsory Meet. There were 90 gymnasts of all ages who qualified in her session and she took fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.30 and third on floor with a 9.475. Albores then moved up to Level 6 and competed in the last meet of the year where she took first in the vault, second on floor, and fifth on beam at the Winterfest meet in Woodbury, Minn.
