Winter events keep 4-H Ambassadors busy

The Emerald Event, held at the Roberts Park Building on Jan. 22, was a great success with its Western theme, it made for a rootin’-tootin’ celebration.

The Emerald Event, held at the Roberts Park Building on Jan. 22, was a great success with its Western theme, it made for a rootin’-tootin’ celebration.

Youth from the surrounding area came and enjoyed themselves with such games as Apples to Apples, Monopoly, and Twister.

The 2010-2011 St. Croix County Ambassadors were recognized and given their embroidered hoodies, sashes, and luminescent orange polo shirts. After the ceremony, group games commenced.

Another big event the St. Croix County Ambassadors helped organize was the St. Croix County Mini Talent Explosion, held on Feb. 19 at Baldwin-Woodville High School.

Ambassadors put up signs guiding people to various events, and helped judges with their projects. They also assisted with questions and directions whenever possible.

The Mini Talent Explosion was another success and means for furthering 4H’s cause: "To make the best better!" If interested in 4H call 715-684-3301, ext. 5.
