On the Job: Thomas Barnett featured at concert April 9

The Shell Lake Arts Center will feature Dr. Thomas Barnett of UW-River Falls at the 2011 Piano Festival. Barnett will be featured at the evening concert concluding the Piano Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

The Shell Lake Arts Center will feature Dr. Thomas Barnett of UW-River Falls at the 2011 Piano Festival. Barnett will be featured at the evening concert concluding the Piano Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

Barnett is in his 10th year teaching at UW-RF, leading such courses as trumpet performance and instruction, music theory, and also performs with the River Falls Brass.

Barnett’s performance is part of the third annual Piano Festival, an event that caters to intermediate to advanced pianists, and also community members interested in learning more about one of the world’s most popular instruments.
