Our family would like to express our gratitude to Missy Crayford and her staff at Greenskeepers/Christmas Decor and its Decorated Family Program for the “light” and joy they shared specifically with us, but unknowingly with our community.
The nationwide program, a gift of Christmas Decor, chose our home to decorate for Christmas. Missy and her crew descended on our home in November and the sky in our neighborhood has been bright ever since!
Since the lights are frozen into the roofline and the trees, I have kept them plugged in because every time they come on I am reminded of the kindness of people. We are long past Christmas but I suspect that the lights still make people smile as they go past our home. They make me smile every time they come on.
With less than two weeks of deployment left until our soldier comes home, we are thankful to our friends and neighbors and this community who have eased the burden. Thank you to our church family at Ezekiel who have never let me feel alone or lonely, have sent countless cards, letters and packages to Tony and who thought I might need some help with snow removal this year.
Johnny Linehan was contacted for the job and has kept my driveway clear, declining to charge a fee. Our good neighbors have kept an eye on things and us. The big hill in our back yard was kept nicely mowed thanks to Jerry.
Thanks to Rick and Chris who have cleared out the end of the driveway when the street plow goes by after Johnny has been here. Thanks to Mike for clearing a path in the yard so that the snow melt doesn’t come down the hill into the basement windows!
The list goes on...
