Letter: Great leader

River Falls will be very well served by the election of Nick Carow to City Council this spring. No other candidate can bring to the table the combination of discipline, common sense, and devotion to our town like Nick will with his experience growing up in River Falls, serving in the Marines, and attending our university.

River Falls will be very well served by the election of Nick Carow to City Council this spring. No other candidate can bring to the table the combination of discipline, common sense, and devotion to our town like Nick will with his experience growing up in River Falls, serving in the Marines, and attending our university.

I first met Nick as at a public debate on campus as his opponent. Though we often have lively and energetic debates and significant policy differences, Nick has always pursued politics with the desire to find common ground whenever possible for the common good.

Nick has taken an increasingly active role in the community since those days, actively participating in for more accountable leadership in the university’s student leadership and energetically working for a more effective dialogue between our campus, our community, and our City Council.

Nick is now ready to serve the community directly. I heartily endorse Nick Carow for City Council because my friend has qualities that transcend political positions- work ethic, discipline, integrity, competence, and a great love for our town that is worthy of representing us.
