As you may have read in the Feb. 3 River Falls Journal, there is a draft ‘boundary agreement’ between the city of River Falls and the Town of Troy.
I would urge all interested citizens and especially those of you living or having a business within the designated Urban Area Boundary Line to review the draft agreement itself and not rely solely on the information presented in the article as to how it may or may not affect you.
For instance, it is my understanding, that there are properties that will be required to hook up to city sewer within 90 days of when such services are made available.
Also, it is my understanding that the controversial 1-35 acre rule that restricts some property owners from subdividing their land is not eliminated for all. It is eliminated for some, but remains in effect for others.
I encourage you to seek out the facts, talk to your friends and neighbors, and provide your input to your elected representatives.
