Rocky Branch head cook Mary Babler switched jobs with River Falls School District Superintendent Tom Westerhaus for a day in the fall.
She says since Westerhaus came to River Falls, he’s continued a project called “Superswitch.” He selects five different employees by a random drawing, and switches places with them for one day.
Babler said she took the job very seriously and reported to the school district central office. Her goal was to do a walk-through of each building. She made it to each one, sat in on some lessons on math and spelling, checked out the kitchens and ate lunch at Meyer Middle School with the kids.
Babler said she feels proud to be a part of the River Falls community, an employee of the school district of River Falls, and to have had this opportunity. When she returned to work the Monday after Superswitch, she said everyone had great reports about Westerhaus and his work in doing her job from start to finish.
