At its regular meeting Wednesday night, the Clifton Town Board OK’d a resolution to adopt a comprehensive, long-range plan that will cover these areas: Transportation, housing, utilities and community facilities; growth trends; population census; farming and natural resources; economic development; intergovernmental cooperation; and land use.
The comprehensive plan was the result of several years worth of preparation guided by the Hudson-based firm of Stevens Engineers.
The plan, which extends for 20 years, will provide the town with information and policies that will guide future planning and decisions at a local level. Some issues covered include local subdivision laws, town zoning and shore land and wetland protection.
