Young man found unresponsive later dies

River Falls police were called to a house at 223 E. Maple St. at 4:46 a.m. Monday for a 25-year-old man who was found unconscious. According to Police Chief Roger Leque, when an officer arrived, people were performing CPR on the unresponsive man. The officer assisted until ambulance paramedics came.

River Falls police were called to a house at 223 E. Maple St. at 4:46 a.m. Monday for a 25-year-old man who was found unconscious. According to Police Chief Roger Leque, when an officer arrived, people were performing CPR on the unresponsive man. The officer assisted until ambulance paramedics came. The man was taken to River Falls Area Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Jack Jenkins, 1495 Riverside Drive.

Leque said police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Jenkins’ death. An autopsy will be performed.

When the autopsy findings are known, the investigation will be completed.
