Dog sledding 101
Scott Balantyne, a local dog sled racer, recently visited Elementary level students at Heartland Montessori School in River Falls, showing them his equipment and sled dogs. The students had followed the 2010 Iditarod race this winter. With Balantyne are students, from left to right, Rowan Wilson, Rowan O’Connell and Teig O’Kelly.
