River Falls Area Hospital recently upgraded to a new MRI system that will provide physicians with higher quality detailed pictures of a patient’s body. AN MRI scan is a test which takes digital pictures of certain parts of the body which are used to help evaluate a wide range of conditions, including stroke, musculoskeletal, heart disease and breast cancer.

River Falls Area Hospital recently upgraded to a new MRI system that will provide physicians with higher quality detailed pictures of a patient’s body. AN MRI scan is a test which takes digital pictures of certain parts of the body which are used to help evaluate a wide range of conditions, including stroke, musculoskeletal, heart disease and breast cancer.

With the improved computer technology of the new system (GE EXCITE 1.5 T HD MRI system with eight channel coils), patients will experience faster exams which will result in improved image quality and patient comfort. Standing with the system are MRI technologists Kim Carley and Ian Steivang.
