RF is minutes from the Twin Cities but a 'world away'
The community of River Falls is just 30 minutes east of St. Paul but a world apart in Wisconsin.
Many River Falls area residents work in nearby Minneapolis-St. Paul but they find “community” here.
River Falls is home to UW-River Falls and its 6,500-plus students. The 226-acre campus has a student/faculty ratio of 19:1 and fields 18 men’s and women’s NCAA Division III varsity sports.
Academic colleges include: Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Business and Economics; Educational and Professional studies; and Outreach and Graduate studies. UW-RF offers 46 undergraduate majors, 61 undergraduate minors and 11 graduate degree programs.
The university is our largest employer but we also have a variety of light industries, several world-class technology companies, a full-service hospital, two skilled nursing care facilities and several independent living retirement communities.
Five golf courses lie within 10 minutes of the city. There are numerous city parks, two state parks, bike trails, a Class 1 trout stream, gun club and many other activities available within or immediately outside city limits.
