HUDSON: Oratorio Society performs
The Phipps Oratorio Society will perform “An American Choral Sampler: Ye Shall Have a Song” at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at The Phipps Center for the Arts. NEW RICHMOND: ‘Sleeping Beauty’ staged
Students of the Old Gem Theater, 116 s. Knowles Ave., will perform a production of the classic fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28. BURKHARDT: Pancake breakfast, raffle scheduled
The Hudson Lion’s Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast buffet and raffle from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at the Willow River Saloon, County Road A. Pre-sale tickets are $6.50 for adults; $3 for children 10 years old and younger. At the door tickets are $7 for adults; $3.50 for children 10 years old and younger. HUDSON: Fundraiser set
The annual BRIDGE Bowl-a-rama will be held at the Hudson Bowling Center in Plaza 94 from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, April 17. The Hudson Knights of Columbus will be lead sponsor for the fundraising event. Bowl-a-rama features special needs BRIDGE bowlers from across the St. Croix River Valley. Taking part this year are 32 teams composed of the BRIDGE bowlers, students from the UW-River Falls who volunteer as mentors, and adults from the community who will serve as team captains and team mates. Last year, the Bowl-a-rama raised $25,000 with the money going to support BRIDGE programs which allow youth and young adults with disabilities in the St. Croix River Valley to take part in recreational activities, attend year-round day-service programs and socialize with friends. NEW RICHMOND: Health and wellness expo planned
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will sponsor the second annual Health and Wellness Expo for all ages from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. Free screenings, blood pressure checks, cholesterol testing (come fasting) and information will be available from 55 vendors. There will also be bingo, giveaways and children’s activities.
