A fundraiser to assist with mounting medical bills will be held for five-month-old Rayna Moon, the daughter of Dan and Jennifer Moon, of River Falls, who was born with a heart defect. The fundraiser will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the River Falls Golf Course and continue through the day with these activities: Fish bowls, prize boards, silent auction, Westons Carnival City, family bingo, Euchre games, food, entertainment by Jerome Martin, entertainment by ShowTime Entertainment, and drawings.
Pierce County Public Health’s monthly River Falls immunization clinic will be held from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, March, at 174 S. Riverwalk, in the lower level of the Edina Realty building. A consent form must be signed by the parent or guardian. If a child is sent with someone other than a parent (i.e., grandparent, babysitter, friend) signed written permission for the specific immunization(s) to be given that day must be provided. Donations are accepted at all clinic sites. Call a physician or the Public Health Department at 273-6755 with questions.
The Pierce County Public Health Department offers preventative dental clinic twice a month for residents ages 2-18. The check up may include a dental exam, cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-rays and sealants at the clinic located in Ellsworth. Medical Assistance will cover costs for eligible clients and persons enrolled in Badger Care and Healthy Start. A sliding fee scale is also available. The River Falls Moms and Dads will host an early bird flea market to raise funds for the group’s activities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Rocky Branch Elementary School’s gym. Tables of clothing, furniture, toys, household items, baked goods and vendors will have items for sale. Call 425-1014 to reserve a 10’x10’ area.
