Each year the college works with the community to raise funds for an organization that makes a difference in the St. Croix Valley.
For an entrance fee of $20 participants will select and keep a bowl that was created in ceramic/pottery classes at UW-River Falls, the high school, Meyer Middle School, or donated by area artists.
Samples of soup donated by local restaurants will be offered along with live music.
Proceeds from this year's "Bowls of Hope" will benefit Our Neighbors' Place -- a local homeless shelter program formed last year in River Falls. Its mission is to provide shelter and support services to families and individuals of Pierce and St. Croix Counties move towards independence and self-sufficiency.
Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, information desk in the University Center on campus, or may be purchased at the door.
For more information call Jerry Waller, 425-4444.
