Crash kills Eau Claire woman
A two-vehicle accident on slippery roads in Renville County, Minn. near Morton killed 60-year-old Margaret Buckley, Eau Claire, and injured four others.
A two-vehicle accident on slippery roads in Renville County, Minn. near Morton killed 60-year-old Margaret Buckley, Eau Claire, and injured four others.
About 7:30 p.m. Dec. 23 on Hwy. 19, the 2009 Toyota Camry Buckley was driving on the snow-covered roads spun out of control and crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming 2002 GMC Sierra pickup. The truck hit the car broadside.
Emergency responders took Buckley to the Redwood Falls Hospital, where she died. Also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries were the truck’s driver, Jon Pettis, 39, of Redwood Falls; and passengers Bobbie Jo Parker, 35, Lynn Panitzke, 36, and Jessica Barnes, 33, all of Redwood Falls.
