The UW-River Falls art department has started its Annual Scholarship Sale in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building. The sale will continue through Sunday, Dec. 13.

This annual event features one-of-a-kind artwork with a portion of sales going to a scholarship fund for continuing art students as well as the Art Society, a student organization. Those artists who take part retain 65%-70% of the proceeds with the balance going toward scholarships and the Art Society.

The fundraiser offers a selection of studio arts including glass, ceramics, painting, fibers, jewelry, printmaking, photography and mixed media by current art students and faculty, alumni, retired faculty and a variety of local artisans.

New this year is a raffle. Artists will raffle off their artwork. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for six tickets and can be bought in the gallery.

The raffle drawing will be held at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in Gallery 101. Ticket holders need not be present to win. Sale hours are: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 2-6 p.m. Saturday; and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
