The Green Bay Packers will start practicing Wednesday, Dec. 9 for their Sunday contest at Chicago. And they’ll find out how their two nose tackles are doing, after Ryan Pickett and B-J Raji were both hurt in the Dec. 7 home win over Baltimore. Pickett strained his right hamstring and left the game with 9 minutes to go. Raji sprained his left ankle, and will be examined again today (Dec. 9). Coach Mike McCarthy says he’s concerned that he might lose the Packers’ strongest players against the run. Pickett anchors the Green Bay run defense, which ranks fourth in the NFL in giving up 87 yards per game. Linebacker Nick Barnett may also miss some practice time this week. He sprained a knee against the Ravens, but he played the entire game on against Baltimore.
