About two dozen needy people in Racine were shocked Tuesday, Dec. 8, to get a $20 bill from a generous woman. It happened at the Salvation Army center. The woman refused to say who she was. But after she dropped off some toys, she started handing out 20-dollar bills to people waiting in line for services. The woman ran out of money – so she went home, got more, and returned. Elizabeth King told the Racine Journal Times she was waiting for food vouchers when the woman gave her a 20-dollar bill and said “Merry Christmas.” King was then amazed to see the woman do the same for others. She said there’s got to be a Santa Claus. Salvation Army officials said the woman’s actions were quote, “unbelievable.”
