The St. Croix-Chequamegon Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) thanks River Falls Masonic Lodge 109 for its generous contribution to the Trees From Home program.
The Trees From Home program sends Wisconsin servicemen and women a fully decorated 12-inch artificial tree, a bag of candy, and a holiday card signed with the name of the tree’s crafter and the name of the organization providing the donation for the tree.
The River Falls Masonic Lodge donated the proceeds from its annual pancake breakfast to the program. Thanks to those in the community who attended that breakfast and supported this wonderful project with additional contributions.
As a result of this donation and others in the River Falls community, over $750 was raised locally for the effort.
Through this state wide program, the Wisconsin DAR was able to send 1,030 trees to brighten the spirits of Wisconsin troops overseas.
As we gather this Thanksgiving to give thanks, we hope you feel the joy that is being returned to you because of your efforts to make the Trees From Home program a huge success.
